Summary of this Math Lesson:

In this lesson, the student will learn what a factor is in math and how to factor numbers.

This skill is important because we use factoring when simplifying fractions and other fraction operations.  First, the student will learn that factors are just numbers that can be multiplied together to arrive at the original number.  Another way of saying this is that a factor is a number that can be divided evenly into the original number.

Factors are easy to find, and in this lesson we work many example problems to help the student master this skill.
